Day In The Life

I was excited when Dennis O. Driver called me and asked if I could document his activities for Stillman College's Founder's Day and the Homecoming Parade. He was the key-note speaker at the Founder's Day and the Grand Marshal for the parade.

I love parades and the Stillman Homecoming Parade did not let me down. It featured bands from throughout the country that were in town for a band contest.

Dennis O. Driver is a vice-president at the biopharmaceutical company Theravance, based in San Francisco. At one point in his career he worked for five years in Europe. He was responsible for subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Russia and the Scandinavian countries. After he graduated from Stillman College he served as a commissioned officer in the Marine Corps.

Attendees of  the Founder's Day event could pick up a copy of the gold coin that he minted and presented to President Barack Obama. On it is written "We are not born for ourselves alone." Driver is a co-founder of A New  Leash On Life, a non-profit organization that serves dog lovers who are coping with cancer. He is involved with a number of other forms of public service.

I created a montage of the images I captured of Dennis Driver's activities:
